Google Meet meetings Stream

With the spread of an epidemic around the world, many organizations were inspired to use platforms like Zoom and Google Meet to hold their meetings. Google Meet has now introduced a facility to easily livestream the meetings on YouTube. With this facility, viewers will be able to view the relevant livestream more easily. Previously, viewers had to be invited to the meeting or use a third-party service to livestream YouTube. Google Workplace admins can enable or disable this feature in the business accounts they manage.

Most of this new facility can be activated for paid workplace accounts. Enterprise tiers (starter, standard, and plus), Education Plus, Teaching and Learning upgrade, and Workplace individual subscribers accounts, as well as Google One Premium plan members in some countries can use this facility. However, members using starter, basic, legacy, or essentials packages have not yet been allowed to use this facility.

If you want to livestream a Google Meet session on YouTube, you have to get your YouTube channel approved in advance. It takes about 24 hours for a channel to be approved. You can see a complete list of privacy settings like how long these livestreams can be on that page.

In June 2021, a facility was introduced for teachers using Google Meet to livestream things like meetings via YouTube, and such a facility is now widely being released to other users as well.
