For WhatsApp, which is currently the world's most popular instant messaging application, a much-awaited privacy update, the facility to hide online status, has been provided.
Until now, there was an opportunity to hide Last Seen through Whatsapp, but anyone could see it if they were online. Many people have accused that this is a problem for their privacy, and accordingly they have worked to solve that problem with this privacy update.
After going to the Privacy section through the menu of Whatsapp, you can set the online status to be shown as another option along with last seen, or to be shown only to a selected group of people, or not to be shown to anyone.
